Pixelvile Studio LLP ("Pixelvile", "we") runs pixelvile.com and the booking and dashboard tools on it. This page explains, in plain words, what personal data we handle and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 in mind.
Two roles we play
- For our own enquiries (the free audit form, emails and WhatsApp messages to Pixelvile), we decide how the data is used.
- For our clients' customers (for example, someone booking at a clinic through a page we run), the business decides how the data is used and we handle it on their behalf. Questions about those bookings are best sent to the business first; we will help them answer.
What we collect
- Audit requests and enquiries: your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email if given, business name and type, and your message.
- Bookings: your name, phone number, the service and time you chose, and any note you add.
- Chat assistant: the questions you type into a business's chat and the replies, so the business can see what customers ask. Don't share sensitive details like health records in the chat.
- Dashboard accounts: name, email, a securely hashed password (we never store it in readable form) and sign-in times.
- Technical data: your IP address is used briefly to stop spam and abuse, and our hosting provider keeps short-lived request logs.
We don't sell personal data, and we don't use advertising trackers.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare the audit you asked for.
- To confirm, remind you about, and manage a booking you made.
- To let business owners and their staff sign in and run their bookings.
- To keep the service secure and working.
By sending a form or making a booking, you consent to this use. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us; it doesn't affect what was done before.
Who else handles it
- Cloudflare hosts the website and database. Data may be processed on Cloudflare's servers outside India.
- Cloudflare Workers AI generates the chat assistant's replies from the business's own information.
- WhatsApp (Meta) carries messages when we or a business message you there.
- Google Fonts and Unsplash serve fonts and photos on some pages, so your browser contacts them directly.
- The business you booked with sees your booking in their dashboard.
Cookies
We use one cookie, only when you sign in to the dashboard, to keep you signed in. Public pages don't set cookies.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries: up to 2 years, or less if you ask us to delete them.
- Bookings: as long as the business keeps its account with us, or until it deletes them.
- Chat conversations: 90 days.
- Sign-in sessions expire after 30 days. Spam-protection records are cleared within 2 days.
- Weekly database backups are kept for up to 90 days.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can raise a complaint. Write to kaushik@pixelvile.com or WhatsApp +91 62893 68923. We aim to reply within 7 days. If you're not satisfied, you can also complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Security
All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed, accounts only see their own business's data, and sign-in attempts are rate-limited. No system is perfect; if something goes wrong that affects you, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Children
Our services are for businesses and adults. If a booking is for a child, it should be made by a parent or guardian.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. Big changes will be shown on this site.
