Your website can show your Google rating, how many reviews you have and your latest Google reviews, straight from Google. You link your business to Google once; after that the reviews update by themselves.
Link your business to Google
- Open Settings › Business and find the Search listing card.
- Next to Google reviews on your website, press Find on Google.
- Your business name and city are filled in. Press Search, or change the words first to match how your business shows on Google Maps.
- Pick your business from the list (you’ll see its address, rating and number of reviews) and press Use this business.
Only owners can do this. To take the reviews off your website, press Remove in the same place.
What your website shows
- A Reviews from Google block with your rating and the number of reviews.
- Up to five of your latest reviews, in the order Google gives them: each with the reviewer’s name and picture, the stars and how long ago it was written. Long reviews have Read more.
- A See all reviews on Google link to your page on Google Maps.
New reviews can take up to 12 hours to show, because the reviews are read from Google twice a day. Nothing is copied into Pixelvile.
Google’s rules
Google lets websites show its reviews only as they are. So reviews can’t be edited, shortened in a way that changes them, hidden because of a low rating or put in a different order, and every review keeps its reviewer’s name and link. A review Google has translated says Translated by Google, with a button to see the original. The best way to have good reviews on your website is to ask every customer for one after their visit.
A website we don’t look after
If someone else looks after your website, give them these two lines to paste where the reviews should go, with your link name from your booking page address. Ask Pixelvile to add that website’s address to your allowed sites first.
