WhatsApp offers to customers who asked

Who can get offers, how STOP works, what each message costs and the once-a-week limit.

With Offers you can tell your customers about a festival offer, a quiet-day discount, a new dish or something back in stock, on WhatsApp. Offers only ever go to customers who asked for them. You can’t add a list of numbers, and nobody is opted in for you.

How customers say yes

  • On your booking page and room booking form there is a box, Send me offers on WhatsApp (you can stop any time). It is never ticked for them. If your website’s enquiry form has the same box, it counts too.
  • If a customer tells you in person, open them in Customers and press They said yes in person. You confirm they told you themselves, and it’s kept with your name and the date.
  • A customer who replies START OFFERS to one of your messages is opted in again.

Each customer’s page shows when and how they said yes, in the exact words they saw. Saying yes to offers is separate from booking messages: confirmations and reminders still come either way.

How they stop

Every offer ends with Reply STOP to stop offers and has a Stop offers button. When someone replies STOP (in English, Bengali or Hindi) or taps the button, they get no more offers from you at once, and one short reply confirms it. Their booking messages still come. Someone who said stop is only sent offers again if they ask for them themselves. If they reply STOP to all WhatsApp messages, nothing goes to them at all.

Send an offer

  1. Open Offers and pick a message: an offer, something new, back in stock or a festival greeting. WhatsApp only allows approved messages, so you fill in the blanks and the rest of the wording is fixed.
  2. Fill in the offer, the date it’s valid till and which of your pages to link to. The preview shows exactly what customers will see.
  3. Choose who gets it: everyone who asked for offers, or only those whose last visit was more than so many days ago, who visited recently, or who booked a particular service or room.
  4. You see how many people get it and what it costs before anything goes. Press Review and send, check again, then send now or schedule it.

The limits

  • A customer gets at most one offer every 7 days, from you. Anyone who had one in the last week is left out and shown as such.
  • Offers only go out between 9:00 am and 8:30 pm. One scheduled later waits for 9:00 am the next day.
  • Your first offer from Pixelvile’s number is read by a person at Pixelvile before it goes, usually within a working day. After that they go straight out.
  • If many people stop your offers, or many fail to arrive, offers are paused automatically and we get in touch.
  • WhatsApp (Meta) has to approve each message format first. Until it has, an offer waits and goes out by itself once approved.

What it costs

The Offers feature has a monthly price, and each offer delivered from Pixelvile’s number is charged on top at Meta’s India marketing rate plus 25% (about ₹1.08 a message now). Offers never use up the WhatsApp allowance for booking messages. The month’s offers come as one line on your Pixelvile bill. With your own WhatsApp number, Meta bills you for the messages directly.

See how it went

Open an offer under Offers sent to see how many were sent, delivered and read, how many failed, replied or said stop, and the bookings and enquiries from people it reached within 7 days. Those also show as WhatsApp offer in Insights.
